James Austin Atwell, 67, of Elizabethtown, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday October 27, 2021 at his home in Elizabethtown. He was born in Sonora to Willie Austin and Opal Brooks Atwell. He worked as a floor covering installer for a number of years. He was a loving Father, Husband, Pepaw, and Brother. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Baby Brother, David Atwell, Son, Mark Wayne Atwell, Sister, Joyce Coffee. He is survived by his loving Wife, Wanda Hazelwood Atwell of Elizabethtown, two Sons, Robbie (Tammy Jean) Atwell of Magnolia, Bobby Atwell, Sister, Betty Jean (David) Sallee of Elizabethtown, Brother, Bobby (Ann) Atwell of Edmonton, Brother, Billy (Valerie) Atwell of Edmonton, one Granddaughter, Angel Atwell, one Great Granddaughter, Lena Carey. A Graveside service will be held at Sonora Cemetery Saturday October 30, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. with Bro. Kenny Gilenwater officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The family does require masks to be worn at all times.
