Michael " Mike" Thomas Murray

Michael "Mike" Thomas Murray, 64, of Upton, passed away Monday December 13, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was born in Elizabethtown to Johnnie Thomas and Gladys Marie Thurman Murray. Mike was a heavy equipment operator for Phillip Bros. a member of F. F. A. and White Mills Christian Church. He also enjoyed going to tractor pulls. Mike loved spending time with his family and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paternal Grandparents, Will and Nancy Vinson Murray, Maternal Grandparents, Gilbert and Ida Artman Thurman, two aunts, Pauline, Mary, and uncle, Everett. He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta Hack Murray of Upton, KY. son, John Michael (Alisha) Murray of Upton, KY, daughter, Monica Michelle (Jeffrey) Sturgeon of Horse Cave, KY, three grandchildren, Kynlee Faith, Briley Lynn, Ellen Marie, cousins, Johnnie David (Vivian) Kinkade of Custer, and David Thurman of Glendale, KY Funeral Services will be held Friday December 17, 2021 1:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Upton, KY With Rev. Tim Dennis officiating. Burial will be held at the Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm or Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Manakee Funeral Home in Upton.
