Randall 'Showboat" Ramsey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randall "Showboat" Ramsey, 79, of the Nolin Community of Sonora, passed from this world surround by his family Friday August 14, 2020 at his home in Nolin. He was born in Sonora to Samuel and Lettie Williams Ramsey. He retired from Collis Inc. where he was union president. He was a member of First Baptist Church Sonora and Army National Guard Veteran. Randall played fast pitch softball for years on numerous teams in the area. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Russell Ramsey, Henry Chester Ramsey, Donald Ramsey, Ruel Gary Ramsey, Jerry Ramsey, four sisters, Martha Ireland, Frances Ramsey, Rudelle Klinglesmith, Betty Opal Priddy, and one son-in-law, Ricky Benningfield. He is survived by his loving Wife of 59 years, Shirley Hornback Ramsey of Sonora, KY. three daughter, Lettie (Terry) Lamkin of Sonora, KY, Sharon (Gary) Crewz of Sonora, KY, Samra Benningfield of Hodgenville, KY, two brothers, Jimmy (Hartsell) Ramsey of Hodgenville, KY, Jackie (Shirley) Ramsey of Sonora, KY, one sister, Madeline (Werner) Grieb of Louisville, KY, 15 grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren Funeral Services will be held Monday August 17, 2020 2:00 pm at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora, KY With Rev. Richard Ramsey officiating. Burial will be held at the Sonora Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm or Monday 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora.
