Wanda Faye Saylor

Mrs. Wanda Faye Horn Compton Saylor, 70, a resident of Ozark, Alabama died Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Wanda was born June 1, 1950, in Hardin County, Kentucky. She was the eldest child of Albert Horn and Cora Smallwood Horn. Wanda was born again into the family of Heaven when she was 15 years old. She spent most of her working life in the service field, taking sweet and tender care of others. She was recognized and well-loved for her delicate attention and kindness. Wanda is a member of Freedom's Way Church at Franklin Crossroads. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and one sister. Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Bob Saylor. They were married April 22, 1981. Wanda was the loving mother of three surviving sons, Sheridan Glenn Compton, Franklin Lynn Compton, and R. T. Saylor all of Ozark. Wanda is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She has two living brothers, Clyde Horn of Cecilia and Gary Chaffin of Eastview, and one living sister, Althea Blan of Hardin County. Funeral Services will be held Sunday January 17, 2021 2:00 p.m. at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Bro. Eddie Wheeler officiating. Burial will be held at the Freedoms Way Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Manakee Funeral Home of Elizabethtown. The family requests that every visitor wear a mask or face cover and practice social distancing.
