William Ray Grimes, 94, passed away Sunday September 12, 2021 at Sunrise Nursing Home in Hodgenville. He was born in Cecilia to Charlie and Christine Grimes. He served in the Army. He retired from Louisville Cooperage where he made whiskey barrels. He was preceded in death by his Parents, two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Grimes of Cecilia, son, Jerry Wayne (Donna) Grimes of Cecilia, daughter, Betty Mae (William) Kendall of Cecilia, three grandsons, three great-grandsons, two great-granddaughters, and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 17, 2021 1:00 P.M. at Manakee Funeral Home, With Pastor Jeff Gillenwater officiating. Burial will be held at the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Friday 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
